What to do in spring around our campsite in the Dordogne?
Why not take advantage of the mild spring weather to discover or rediscover the Vézère valley?
In the Dordogne, spring transforms the landscape into a living theatre. Trees dress up for the occasion, wild orchids line the paths. Birdsong, more present than ever, accompanies every step along the paths.

- Hiking: from the campsite, a number of footpaths lead to unsuspected viewpoints. The wooded hillsides reveal bucolic panoramas.

- Canoeing down the Vézère: from April onwards, the river is back to its springtime glory. Set off from Montignac-Lascaux and canoe down the river past limestone cliffs, caves and castles.

- At Limeuil, the panoramic gardens stretch out at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Here you ‘ll find flower beds , botanical trails and exceptional views.
- In the gardens of Eyrignac, the plant sculptures stand out elegantly against the clear spring sky.
- At Marqueyssac, the boxwood-lined paths form a living labyrinth, perfect for contemplation.

Less than 15 minutes from the campsite, several emblematic sites are open to the public with special events for the spring holidays.
- La Roque Saint-Christophe, 2 kilometres from the campsite, offers guided tours, shows and treasure hunts throughout the Easter holidays. This troglodyte site will surprise you.
- In the heart of the Vézère valley, the troglodyte village of La Madeleine is 7 kilometres from Le Paradis. In spring, the site comes alive with immersive family activities, including an egg hunt starting at 3pm on 20 April .
- To celebrate the arrival of spring, Limeuil’ s panoramic gardens are organising an Easter treasure hunt Easter treasure hunt on 20 and 21 April from 10am to 6pm.
- Celebrate Easter at Château de Commarque on 20 and 21 April with a great egg hunt and some great prizes.
Spring events
From 19 April to 04 May, Châteaux en Fête is back. Exceptional sites are opening their doors to you and immersing you in their world through original events and varied festivities. Put together your own itinerary and let yourself be guided by the activities on offer: exhibitions, shows, sound and light shows, concerts, guided tours by the owners, lectures… So many moments to share and enjoy at the heart of our heritage!
On Sunday 25 May from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm, celebrate the Fête de la Nature at the Château de Commarque. On the programme: a market of designers and producers, a nature treasure hunt and a guided tour of the monument.
Easter is just around the corner at Camping Le Paradis!
On Sunday 20 April, Easter comes to life at Camping Le Paradis. The traditional egg hunt will take children through the aromatic garden and flowery alleys of the campsite, in search of chocolate treats, guided by mischievous little clues.
The evening will also featurefamily entertainment , including a concert by the Buzz Brothers at 8.30pm on the terrace of Le Paradis campsite.
