Sarlat Christmas market
From 4 December to 1 January 2025, the old town of Sarlat is transformed into a glittering Christmas village. Wooden chalets, local specialities and magical entertainment create an enchanting picture for young and old alike. This market, renowned for its authenticity, reflects thesoul of Périgord at the heart of the festive season.
Christmas markets around Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère
On 7 December, the village of Le Moustier willbe hosting its own Christmas market. This friendly event showcases local crafts and products. The event is marked by a fire show. To prolong the pleasure, a small catering service is available on site, ideal for enjoying seasonal dishes in a festive atmosphere. Take the opportunity to admire the life-size cots carved from hay at La Roque Saint-Christophe.
On 14 and 15 December, it’s the turn of the charming village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère to host its Christmas market. Local craftspeople, local produce and illuminated decorations combine to create a festive and intimate atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity for a winter stroll through one of France’s most beautiful villages on the banks of the Vézère.
Gourmet Christmas at Château de Puymartin
From 14 to 15 December and from 21 to 24 December, Château de Puymartin will be decked out in its finest decorations for a gourmetChristmas that looks like a fairytale. As well as visiting the chateau, which is entirely decorated for the occasion, visitors can enjoya village of producers. From 22 December to 5 January 2025, the Proumeyssacchasm will come alive for the festive season. Visitors can discover this iconic site in a magical light, thanks to a sound and light show specially designed for Christmas. The highlight of these visits is thearrival of Father Christmas. Descending in the famous gondola, he joins young and old at the 11am, 3pm and 4pm to present each child with a gift.
Family visits to the Lascaux caves
From 21 to 30 December, the Lascaux IV storytellingtours , specially designed for children, offer an offer a fun and educational approach to the caves. Every Sunday morning from 1 December to 23 February 2025, in Saint-Geniès, the truffle market is a veritable institution. Lovers of this black diamond flock here to discover, smell and taste this gastronomic gem. An experience that will delight the most discerning palates. The traditionalmarket is right next door, where you can buy fresh local produce to accompany your truffles.

Hike to Saint-Léon-sur Vézère
From our three holidayhomes, a path leads you through the woods toone of France’ s most beautiful villages, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère. You will cross the beautiful côte de Jor, following its crest, offering an exceptional panorama of the Vézère valley.
For the most motivated walkers, a loop circuit will take you as far as La Roque Saint-Christophe, an emblematic site in the region.
Another, quieter walk also starts directly from the houses. Crossing the sleepy countryside of Le Paradis campsite, you will reach the Vézère river. The flat, accessible path follows the river until you reach La Roque Saint-Christophe.
