Enjoyment along the river Vézère

This campsite located in the Périgord (Dordogne) offers a rare feature: it is situated on a riverbank. Canoe or kayak excursions are organised here, departing from the on-site pontoon. The shady banks are also a pleasure for fishing enthusiasts. The river gives you an exceptional opportunity to relax and cool off in the summertime: get ready for true nature holidays!

Drifting downriver

This is a not-to-be-missed activity in the Vézère Valley ! As you drift down the river aboard a canoe or kayak, between the impressive limestone cliffs leading from Montignac-Lascaux to les Eyzies, you’ll enjoy an unprecedented view of the area’s prestigious sites (caves, castles, villages and more). The valley can be discovered in a tranquil, unexpected way from the river.

Reservation at the campsite reception desk. Two circuits are available in July and August. Excursions upon request during the off-season, a period with fewer visitors.

Fishing, an ideal activity

The tranquil, wooded riverbanks of the Vézère are very sought-after by anglers. The river’s fresh water fish (with a good proportion of silurids and roaches) are a delight for beginner and experienced anglers. 1st and 2nd catégory.

Fishing permit on sale at reception.

The riverbanks of the Le Paradis campsite are built up for canoeing and kayaking. The pontoon gives you a chance to cool off in the river (no lifeguard on duty).
